Original material by Shruti. Adult English-language speaking practice. Use imaginary situations. Participants may pass without explanation.
Before starting: confirm the group wants to practise, preview the cards for suitability, decide whether feedback is wanted and tell people what timing means. No one is obliged to share personal experience. Introductions, breaks and closing are extra time.
Start: Offer an example using an imaginary situation. Explain that passing is welcome. Keep feedback to one thing heard clearly.
Per turn: 15s preparation, 60s speaking, 15s optional reflection. 2 round(s). Up to 12 participants; card availability still limits turns. First Meeting in the free starter supports at most six participants over two rounds.
Close: Invite each person to name one thing they would like to try next time.
Choose one observation: “I understood your choice when you gave that example.” “The step I could follow was…” “The detail I remember is…” Ask whether the speaker wants a suggestion before giving one.
Participant label: ____________________
One clear detail I heard: ____________________________________
One question I would like to ask: ______________________________

No recording, transcription, scoring, instructor qualification or formal language assessment. Prompts and plans are original examples, not a tested curriculum. Review suitability for your group. Downloaded session files include participant labels. Nothing is sent to a server. A page refresh clears unsaved work. Importing a saved session resets any unfinished timer. Background browser tabs may delay the display; elapsed time catches up when the tab returns. Spoken-time logs measure the planned speaking segment of the timer, not actual speech or silence. Printing requires your browser’s Print command and printer/PDF choices.
